If you probably
noticed I decided to remove the first car modeling tutorial from
my site , that is because it was old and not so accurate.
From my knowledge that tutorial was the first car modeling tutorial
that used splines into building the primary shape of the car (as
seen in lotus). During those days there weren't many car modeling
tutorials and I come up with a simple solution that could be used
by beginners. I still use sometimes "the spline" approach
into building the very basic setup of the cars, is a lot faster
to draw lines than to cut through polygons.
But of course
most of the heavy work is done with editable poly and subdivisions.
